


There's some nice free stuff from places like Jointed Rail, but so far there's a lot of compatibility issues with TRS2019. I'd say 90% of the content for Trainz can be found on the Download Station (with dependencies), but the disadvantage is you're not going to download much without a First Class Ticket (basically a paid subscription to the DLS) unless you're really patient. Of course there's exceptions to this, but you're going to be spending time hunting for them. So you might be able to get some free sessions but you're looking at 10 pieces of paid DLC as dependencies. Train Simulator has a lot of workshop content but I've found the vast majority of it uses a ton of DLC. It also has by far the best route editor. Trainz by far has the most free content of any sim, save maybe MSTS/OpenRails.
